If there was one sci-fi book you should read this year, it has to be Project Hail Mary. It is the story of an astronaut who wakes up in space and remembers nothing.
Yesterday, I finished reading this book and it is actually unputdownable and it does makes you feel like you are in a thriller movie!
Apart from the great great story which should be enough for you read the book, the book also shows critical thinking in action (in case you want to learn something from a sci-fi book :)). It is full of first-principles reasoning and constantly questioning assumptions. You really get to see how a rational person approaches problems.
If you are not planning on reading it, there is a movie coming out in March 2026. Please do not watch the trailer. Go in with no information and you are in for a ride.
